Course Reserves allow instructors to make books or articles available to students either physically or electronically. Physical reserves consist of books that instructors would like the students to have access to. These books can be provided by instructors or books in our collection. Electronic reserves allow online access to documents at any time. Electronic reserves are an Open Educational Resource accessed through our web page.
Do you have a teaching resource you would like to make available to your students
at no cost? KSU Library's Course Reserves service allows you to place physical or
electronic items on reserve for your class for the duration of the semester. Simply
fill in the e-form request, which you can find below in submit reserves - faculty.
Materials may be your own copies of books, cd's, dvd's or articles that you drop off
or send via PDF. You can also specify items from the collection that we will temporarily
relocate to Reserves for your students. Once you submit a request and drop off the
materials, please allow 5 business days for us to get them ready. As soon as you
receive an email that they are done, your students will have access to either check
items out or view them electronically.
Kennesaw State University Library System is required to comply with all applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. All KSU faculty, staff, and students are expected to do the same. Therefore, the Kennesaw State University Library System will work with faculty, staff, and students to ensure that all material placed on reserve complies with copyright law. It is the individual responsibility of all faculty, staff, and students to obtain copyright clearance. Please contact the Course Reserves Coordinator for guidance.
